To add a new cryptocurrency account to Ledger Live Desktop, follow these steps:
Open Ledger Live: Launch the Ledger Live application on your computer.
Connect Your Ledger Device: Connect your Ledger hardware wallet to your computer using the provided USB cable. Ensure that your Ledger device is powered on and unlocked.
Navigate to Accounts: In the Ledger Live interface, click on the "Accounts" tab located in the left sidebar menu. This tab displays a list of your existing cryptocurrency accounts.
Add Account: To add a new cryptocurrency account, click on the "Add account" button located in the upper right corner of the Accounts tab.
Select Cryptocurrency: In the "Add account" window, you will see a list of supported cryptocurrencies. Scroll through the list or use the search bar to find the cryptocurrency you want to add an account for. Click on the cryptocurrency to select it.
Choose Account Type: Depending on the cryptocurrency selected, you may be prompted to choose an account type. Ledger Live supports different account types for certain cryptocurrencies, such as "Native Segwit" or "Legacy." Select the desired account type from the dropdown menu.
Confirm on Device: Follow the on-screen instructions in Ledger Live to confirm the addition of the new account on your Ledger hardware wallet. You may need to navigate to the appropriate cryptocurrency app on your Ledger device and approve the account addition.
Account Added: Once confirmed, Ledger Live will add the new cryptocurrency account to your account list. You will see the account displayed in the Accounts tab, along with any existing accounts you have.
Repeat for Additional Accounts: If you want to add accounts for other cryptocurrencies, repeat the process by clicking on the "Add account" button and selecting the desired cryptocurrency.
By following these steps, you can add a new cryptocurrency account to Ledger Live Desktop and manage your cryptocurrency assets securely using your Ledger hardware wallet.
